Wayne Township Schools is pushing back its reopening two weeks, to Aug. Like the rest of Marion County public school districts, Warren Township is offering a completely virtual option for those families that don’t feel comfortable sending their kids back into schools yet.Įarlier this week, Washington Township Schools announced it would not bring students back into buildings to start the academic year and offer only virtual instruction for the time being. "This model will allow us to decrease our student capacity by at least 50% and will allow us to better physically distance throughout the school," said Superintendent Tim Hanson in a letter posted to the district's website.Įlementary school students will still be in school buildings five days a week. Warren Township students in grades 6 through 12 will only attend school for in-person instruction every other day. Warren is also the first public school district in Marion County to implement a hybrid learning model to reduce the number of students in its buildings at any one time.
